Entry is by online video submission and is NOW OPEN. Routines should be up to three minutes in length and there is a cap on entries of 30 people per category. The top six people from each category will progress to the Final stage.

Intermediate and Advanced silks are now an online only competition, and will be judged by 3-5 judges. The winners will have the opportunity to perform their winning routine at the LIVE final.

The IPAAT 2017 Entry fee is £30 PLEASE BE WARNED your place is not secure until you have submitted your form AND paid your fee.

Note: All competitors should hold tricks and poses long enough to be judged (suggested 2-3 seconds). The Grand Final will have full poles, 45mm with one static and one spinney. For your Quarter Final entry video’s you can use any type of pole/aerial. The hoop is single point and 180cm from floor to the bottom bar and is a solid steel firetoys 95cm hoop, The doubles hoop is 175cm from the floor to bottoms bar and is solid steel firetoys 105cm hoop.

  • The hoop cannot be changed on the day!
  • They cannot be height adjusted!

A crash mat is allowed, but you must supply this. A step to get into the hoop is allowed, you must supply this and must have someone on stage to remove the step once you are on if needed. Routines should be choreographed to show fluidity between transitions. Points will be awarded for technique, innovation and fluid, smooth movement.

  • Quarter Finals ONLINE Routine lengths up to 3 minute MAXIMUM
  • Name your video link: IPAAT, Quarter Finals, Full name and Category.
  • Upload your video to YouTube and then send me a link through email to be judged. You can set your video unlisted or pubic (NOT private) any videos that are not named correctly will not be accepted.
  • Please see the rules for moves allowed of each level and any costume malfunctions that reveals private areas is an automatic disqualification.
  • If you are chosen to get through to the Final the routines can be up to 3.5 minutes MAXIMUM

Terms and Conditions

  1. Fees are none refundable, if you cancel your place at ANY point there will be a £25 administration fee payable immediately. Your place is not secured until your form and fee are received.
  2. If you qualify for the Finals you agree to attend and perform.
  3. ONLINE Videos will be judged all together by 3-5 independent people.
  4. Grand Finals will be held in the East Midlands.
  5. Competitors must be 12yrs or older to enter Pole, 10 years or older to enter Hoop or Silks.
  6. You understand and give permission for IPAAT and Emma’s Pole Dancing to video and take pictures of you throughout the competition and grant rights to IPAAT to use images and videos for marketing and advertising.






Our 2017/2018 IPAAT GRAND FINAL will be held at The Albert Hall, Nottingham on January 20th 2018 (date provisional and subject to change).
